Repentance is an Essential Component of the Doctrine of Christ

Why do we generally have a negative reaction to the word Repentance?

I have found repentance to be absolutely essential! I do it in real-time (without delay). I am so thankful to the Lord for His infinite sacrifice and atonement. However, it does me absolutely no good, if I don’t repent. No one can receive what Christ offers unless they conform to the conditions He has established for redemption. 

Repentance is not really what we have been led to believe it is. The above video is to some degree my repentance journey. However, it is mostly an attempt to help you see the benefits of repentance and understand the many ways to apply it in your lives. Please watch the video! The cry for repentance is not often met with acceptance in the scriptures. However, Melchizedek’s city of peace came because those who heard him repented. They were taken into Heaven by their repentance. 

Let’s give repentance a break! In the future, if someone is crying repentance let’s thank them! 🙂 Repentance, after all is better than sliced bread!
